A Wonderful Teacher

Connor's teacher, Miss Saide, came to the recital. It cracks me up because teachers are like celebrities to kids, so it was a huge treat to have her there. Both Connor & Courtney were so excited that she came. And I already knew how much she loves Connor, and the rest of her students, but the fact that she took time out of her Saturday night to be there was extra special. She even brought them flowers!!! But, Miss Saide, at the end of the night, Connor gave his to Madi. I hope you don't mind. Ah, young love.....**sigh**

Christmas Piano Recital!!

Saturday night was Courtney & Connor's Christmas piano recital and they did a GREAT job! I'm so proud of them! I think the part I'm most proud of is that they LOVE piano! They never complain about going to their lessons, and these past few months I have not had to ask them to practice their recital songs....they just do it! I love that. As a matter of fact, they often leave piano lessons saying "That was so much fun!!" Makes my heart smile. :) Thanks Mrs. Genny! You've done an amazing job!
P.S. I've been trying for HOURS to upload the video from the recital, but no luck. It's not working!!! So, you'll have to take my word for it that they did a great job.

My Scotty

My brother is hilarious. The kids adore him. I had to give him his own post to put up of a few funny shots from yesterday.
Pretending he is going to hit me with
this pan.
Ok, Scott and I tried to get a decent "from above"
picture of the two of us, but it was hard cuz he's so tall.
Courtney decided to jump behind us, but we didn't
know it until after we took the picture. I thought this
was hilarious.

Remember my post about the kids jumping on my
parents' bed? Well, who says you have to be a kid
to do that?
Courtney making the "koo koo" sign and pointing
at Koo Koo Uncle Scotty
Who makes the best face?? They're both
pretty good.

Thanksgiving Part 2

Friday morning, Hugh and I actually went to the gym (I probably wouldn't have gone if I was not "encouraged" by my hubby), I did some minimal shopping, and then it was time to get ready for round two at my parents' house. We surprised my parents by giving them their Christmas present early - a Wii. When they come over, you can't get Ron to leave because he wants to keep playing our Wii! So, we knew it was time for them to have their own. We got it all hooked up to their NEW flatscreen tv (way to go Mom!!) and were there until 10 playing it. Another long day. Anyway, that's my wrap up. Pictures are included. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Let the Holiday season begin!

Scott did all of the dishes!! He did that so he could

Is it finally over?? I'm pooped!
Even Roxy was tired at the end of the day!

Thanksgiving Part 1

Our Thanksgiving lasted two days, so I'm doing this in two parts. Ok.....on Thanksgiving day, we went to Kim & Wayde's house at noon. A ton of people were there. I had to take three pictures to get everyone in!!! We ate, and ate, and ate some more. It was actually quite relaxing. We left there around 3:30 and then took the kids to see Twilight (my second time seeing it - LOVED IT!!) and Bolt. We finally got home around 10. Long day. Went to bed to prepare for part 2.
