Last Sunday, Connor and Caitlin participated in a Stake Fireside for the Trek. They each portrayed pioneers that died during the long journey to Salt Lake City. They each dressed as pioneers, and read their stories to a large congregation of youth and their parents. Caitlin told the story of Bodil Mortensen and Connor told of James Kirkwood, both of the Willie Company. They are such heartbreaking stories, and they did a great job telling of these two young pioneers. It made me so grateful for what the early Saints did for us. The trek is this June for our Stake. And in four years, all three of my kids will get to participate. Oh boy....four years to prepare.
