A Shocking Announcement

I got this adorable Valentine's Day card in the mail the other day.

You'll need to click on it to read the fine print at the bottom.  When I first read it, I thought it was a mis-print....it was THAT SHOCKING!!!  Anyway, I am thrilled.

Congratulations Kort, Amy & Miss Emmi!!  How weird is it that Emmi is going to be a big sister???

I Want This!

I know I am not a professional photographer by any means.  I wouldn't even use the word "photographer" to describe myself.  I just like to take pictures.  HOWEVER, I want this bag!  How gorgeous is this???  I know it would probably be more fitting for a seasoned photographer, but hey, it's pretty and me likey!  They are giving one of these away (hence, this blog post).  But, if I don't win it, I want one of you to buy it for me for my birthday.  Go ahead...you can all pitch in!!

Here is the link to the website.

Courtney's Poem

Courtney wrote a poem for extra credit and I just had to share.
It's called "My Mom's Dream".

My mom had a dream,
to meet her favorite tennis star.
he came in town to play
so she didn't have to travel far.

She waited many years to meet him
So when she met him it was a sight to see
My mom crying and screaming
When she met Andre Agassi.

Isn't that great??  Let me pause while I remember my moment.........**sigh**.  What a great day.

I still tear up at the memory......

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains

Can I just tell you how EXCITED I am for this next season of Survivor???  All of my FAVES are coming back to play...and I'm beside myself.

For example....

Hottie Colby
Ooooh baby!  He was the nice guy from Survivor: Australia and I'm so excited to get to look at him again.

Fireman Tom
New York fireman who won Survivor: Palau.  Again, fun to look at.  He did not receive a single vote against him during his season.  That says something!  Oh...and he killed a shark!

Crazy Rupert
What can you say about Rupert?  He's from Survivor: Pearl Islands.  Just love that guy...

Boston Rob
Total jerk.  But, man, I loved him.  He was from Survior: Marquesas.  And he was also on Survivor: All Stars.  There he met Amber and the were the final two!!  He then proposed to her during the finale!  How awesome was that!!!  They then got married (on tv, of course) and just had a baby.  Awwwww!

Gravedigger James
Seriously hot James.  And funny too!  But, not the smartest dude to play Survivor.  He had TWO...count them - TWO!!....hidden immunity idols in his possession, and he STILL got voted out of Survivor: China.  Oh well, still so much fun to watch.

and my favorite male player OF ALL TIME!!!

Russell
So much fun to hate!  But he was the SMARTEST player to ever play Survivor.  He found TWO hidden immunity idols with NO CLUES in Samoa.  He ruled that game!  I hated him at the beginning, but found myself pulling for him once he found that second idol.  Can't wait to see him up against Coach (who was my LEAST favorite player of ALL TIME!)

The rest of the guys are
J.T. from Survivor: Tocantins
Coach (hate him) from Survivor: Tocantins
Tyson (Mormon boy...but sure didn't act like it!!) from Survivor: Tocantins
Randy (absolute jerk) from Survivor: Gabon

And the girls will have to wait until tomorrow.....

My Bad Day, Not PMS

About once a month, I have a Bad Day. That's what I call it.  "My Bad Day."  I don't have that "Time of the Month" anymore, thanks to a wonderful surgery I had several years ago.  (That was my third favorite surgery.)  So, even though I don't have that, I still have a hormonal shift that make me depressed.  And I am NOT a depressed type of person.  I'm happy 90% of the time.  So, when I have My Bad Day, it's exhausting.  Everything bugs me....my kids, my husband, my dogs, myself.  Heaven help me if I have a Bad Hair Day on My Bad Day.  I might just shave it off!  And today was My Bad Day.  I can FEEL it.  It feels heavy.  I'm tired.  I just want to stay at home and sleep.  But, today, I couldn't cuz I have a life.  I try to work out on My Bad Day because it is supposed to increase endorphins, and I always hope that it will help me feel better.  I worked out today, and it did help...for a few minutes.  Then I went to the doctor today.  And I was NOT HAPPY when I couldn't find the stupid office.  I then went to Target, which normally lifts my spirits, but no such luck.  I came home, and hopped on Facebook.  And they changed the format of Facebook!  Today was NOT the day for that.  Man, that BUGGED me!!  But, while on Facebook, I heard a really funny story about a lamp shade that made me LAUGH (Thanks M.S.).  Laughed out loud!!!  That made me feel lots better.  Then my dogs were fighting...and it was hilarious.  That made me laugh too.  I can feel a shift happening.....  I made a delicious dinner.  Food makes me feel better.  I talked to Brian and Tracy...on their 18th wedding anniversary.  They always make me happy.  I talked to Wendy.  Again, happy.  I got a babysitter (my mom) for Valentine's Day dinner on Friday.  Happy. My day is not over.....but I'm feeling better.  I get to cuddle with my husband on the couch and watch 24 and The Bachelor....cuz he'll watch The Bachelor with me.  What a guy.  I'm thinking I'm getting back to my normal abnormal self.  Thank goodness!  Because I think what bugs me the most on My Bad Day is MYSELF!  Tomorrow is a new day.....I can't wait.

Happiness is....

Going with this girl

To this city

to stay with this guy
(it's ok...he's Wendy's cousin.)

and to see this lady

and walk on this bridge

and hang out in this park

and to see this landmark

and eat at this place
(that would be the Shake Shack - YUM!!)

and walk down this street

and get cupcakes from this bakery

Happiness is April 20 - 24.
 I can't wait.

Ooops, She Did it Again!

Wendy has posted another classic "Wendytale".  Read it and weep!!  And leave her a comment.  She loves comments.

Bull-Dawg Bake Sale

Last week at Connor's football game, our team held a Bulldawg Bake Sale for Haiti.  They raised $153!  We were then able to purchase 5 water filters for the people in Jacmel.  This was done through Guerrilla Aid, which as you know, is Barton's organization.  He and his team went down to Haiti a few weeks ago and has really helped to get things organized.  He said they actually now control and operate the airport!  If you fly in there, Barton will greet you at your plane and take you through customs.  :)  They have joined forces with the Magnine Family, who are house parents at an orphanage there.  Clean water is the biggest need right now, and these filters can provide clean water for a family for 5 YEARS!  And, they only cost $35.  If you have a spare $35, they could really use your help.  Just go to Guerrilla Aid to donate.  Go Barton!

By the way, the Bulldawgs KICKED BUTT at the game!  The final score was 48-0.  "Now that's what I'm talkin' about!!!"- Coach Dean...

GO BULLDAWGS!!

Our set up...We had SO MANY TREATS that our boys and their
parents made.  SO MANY!!
Caitlin recruited her friend Stephanie to help.
$153 raised!!  Woo hoo!

Bobservations

Do you see this nice looking man?  This is Wendy's dad...Bob Joy.  He is with his beautiful wife Roxanne.  Anyway, Bob started his OWN blog called Bob's Obs(ervations).  Cute, right?  He is a great writer, and has already a posted one of his "Observations".  Pretty clever.  Check it out when you have a chance.
Keep up the good work Bob!  You know I love ya!
