Prayers Needed

Normally, a picture would go here. I hate blogging without a picture. And I have a picture of my mom, my grandma and I. I just have to find it!!! Then I will post it. That's going to be my project this afternoon.
My Grandma is sick. Very, very sick. She is literally on her death bed. She is struggling to breathe every day. They have her on morphine for pain, but that doesn't keep her from becoming very restless when she can't breathe. My mom is there with her now and is watching her become sicker and sicker as each minute passes. The doctors say she is in her "transition phase" and she should pass away any day now. I just want her suffering to end. I think all of her heart troubles started November 20, 1983, when her 29 year old daughter (and the coolest Aunt in the world) died in a plane crash. (I'll blog about that later.) It literally broke her heart and she never recovered from it. She has had major heart problems for the past 1o years, and the past three months have been really, really bad. Then, the passing of my uncle a week and a half ago just broke heart even more. She's barely coherent. And my poor, sweet mom.....dealing with the death of another sibling, and now watching her mom die....it's almost too much for her to take. She is being so strong (which she is seriously, the STRONGEST woman I know) but it's got to be killing her. My mom is schedule to fly home on Saturday, and I'm praying that my Grandma will pass away before then. I hope that no one will judge me on that. I just want my grandma not to suffer anymore, and I want my mom to come home in peace. So, please keep both my grandma and my mom in your prayers.

Friday at Girls Camp - Day 38

What can I say? Girls' Camp was AWESOME! This was my first time going, and I had such a great time. And it was made even better since Courtney was able to go as well. It was so fun to experience it with her!! The girls in my ward were AMAZING and I'm so glad that we all now have these funny inside jokes to share with each other. Like "I Fix It!" and "Now, that's a LOT of LOVE" and "Killer Sam" and "Hot Seat". Too much fun. I took over 400 pictures, but I won't be boring you with all of those. I'll just share a select few.

A New Blog

Courtney started a blog! She loves taking pictures, so she decided to do the Picture of the Day Challenge. She's really wanting some comments, so if you have an extra minute, would you check out her blog and give her a shout out? She would love it! Her blog is Little Miss Sunshine. Isn't that cute? She designed it herself (with the help of Cutest Blog on the Block) and has learned how to update it herself. Too cute.

Day 36 - Family Pictures

For the first time EVER since my mom has been married to Ron, we had our ENTIRE family in the same place at the same time! That occassion called for Family Pictures. Jeans & Black were the attire, which was dreaded since the temperature outside was over 110. Ug! Oh well, the pictures just took a few minutes.
My brother Scott, Kawika, his wife Nikki (my step-sister), and their daughter Tatum, Scott (my step-brother), his wife Gini, and their son Zac, my parents - Lucy & Ron, and then Courtney, Connor & Caitin with Griffin & Zoey, and Hugh & I. (Day 36)

I'm So Behind!! - Days 34 & 35

I've missed so many of my days for my Photo Challenge! Uh oh. So, on the days I've missed taking pictures, I'm going to substitute a Photoshopped picture instead. I make my own rules here!!! So, here are a few NYC pictures that I recently messed with in PS.

An Update

I've been on a blogging break due to spending 5 days as a cabin mom at Girl's Camp. We had so much dang fun, and I took over 400 pictures. I'll be posting SOME of those soon, and get back up to date on my 365 Challenge pictures.
Some sad news though.....When I got home yesterday, I called my mom and she told me that my Uncle Don died of a massive heart attack on Sunday. This was so shocking. Don had been the one who was watching over my grandma (for the past 10 years). My grandma's health has rapidly declined over the last few months, and we are expecting her to pass away any day. Don had called my mom on Sunday at 5:09 pm and told her that Grandma had had a decent day, and that my mom didn't need to call him back - he was just calling her for her daily update. He said "I love you" and hung up. My mom got a second phone call from his cell at 8:37 pm. My mom assumed the worst news about my grandma. Well, it was a friend of Don's calling to tell my mom that Don had suffered a massive heart attack and had died. Not the news she was expecting. She had to fly out to Illinois today, and met my other uncle (the one from San Diego) and Don's son Justin, so they can tell my Grandma. They decided to keep this from her until they could get there. She thinks that he is out of town on business, because that is very normal for him. It is the hardest thing my mom has ever had to do, and I feel for her. My poor grandma....she has now lost two of her kids. I'm just praying that God will take her home soon so she doesn't have to suffer any more.
