It's been an eventful few days around here. First Courtney got sick. Flu sick. She's not oinking, so I'm not thinking it's the Swine Flu. But fever, cough (oh...the coughing!!!), and general yuckiness. Then, she passed it to her brother. That wasn't very nice. He's not oinking either. Well, in the midst of all of this, they were scheduled to have their school pictures done yesterday. I'm not a big fan of the very fashionable and artistic individual portrait, but I didn't want them to NOT be in the class picture. Especially, since this is the first time they have ever been in the same class. So, I kept them home from school, but took them to the school so they could be in the class picture. They did the picture, and as soon as it was over, Courtney came walking towards me and said "I don't feel well." She was pale and clammy, and not looking so hot. We started to leave, but she began wobbling, and then she collapsed into me!! I managed to catch her and drag her to a seat. She was only out for a second. She just kept moaning "I want to go home." Poof! Wish granted. We got her in the car and home to the comfort of her sweats and the couch. Her color came back (as did her appetite!!) and she's been fine since. Still feverish and coughing, but doing much better. Same with Connor. I just need to keep their germy germs off of me because I have a very important DATE in 13 days!!! *Wink*
So, after that excitement, I was rear-ended. Didn't do a lot of damage to my car, but it sure munched up her's! Poor girl. I felt so bad for her. So, my truck is at the Truck Hospital for the next few days and in the meantime, they gave me a sweet ride as a replacement - a PT Cruiser. Oh yea baby! Not really, but my kids think it's pretty cool. And isn't that what it's all about??

1 Say what?:
pt cruiser huh? will you give ma a ride for some brownies? speaking of pt cruisers...i've always thought they seemed more like an elderly person type of car (i sure hope no young people that own a pt cruiser read this)...so i was about to share this opinion with some co-workers, including my boss (who happened to be only a few years older than myself), but decided not to. a few weeks later i saw my boss driving around in a pt cruiser. that is one of the FEW times i didn't stick my foot in my mouth.
