Prepare yourselves......

Ok, after months of planning, and years of anticipating (for me anyway - I'm weird like that) this weekend is our 20 year high school reunion. I'm so excited! So, next week, I'll be blogging about it and posting lots of pictures. I don't know if any of you even read this stuff, and sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself, but that's ok. I don't mind. It gives me something to read, anyway!

Friends & Family

It's so fun to be friends with your family!! Kort & Amy live so close to us and we get to see them all of the time. We hang out with them just like they are friends. We also get to spend quite a bit of time with Ryan & Christi Luke and Kamon & Bonnie Farmer. And the funny thing is that they are all under 30! We are the old people in the group. But they all make us feel young. They'll tell you that we are the coolest old people they know. :) Here is a picture of Bonnie, Christi & Amy with their "Dolce & Gabanna" purses from Mexico. Gorgeous! And, the other picture is of the 8 of us when we went to dinner at Grimaldi's. Yummy! This is the same restaurant that Tracy and I went to while we were in NYC, and let me tell you.......it's goooood pizza!! Not as good as NYC, of course, but it'll do. :)

So You Think You Can Dance!!

Summer wouldn't be summer without my FAVORITE show of all time - So You Think You Can Dance! This is the fourth season, and it is the best! We watch it as a family (yes, Hugh loves it too) and it's awesome! The kids still talk about their favorite dances - the Zombie Dance, the Umbrella Dance, the Two Princes Dance, the Table Dance (sounds bad, but it's not what you think)......anyway, the summer will be much more bearable now that my favorite show is on.

Caitlin the Gymnast

Caitlin started gymnastics in March, and she LOVES it. A few weeks ago, the gym she goes to held the "Olympics". Each class had their own time to showcase all that they have learned, and it ended with a "medal ceremony". It was cute. She is really enjoying herself, and it's fun to see that. She can almost do the splits and has nearly perfected her cartwheel. Actually, yesterday, she did a cartwheel on the balance beam, and that was a REALLY BIG DEAL.

My Two Mozarts in the Making

Courtney & Connor have been taking piano lessons for a few months now, and last month, they had their first recital. Connor went first, and his piece was called "Indian Braves". It lasted about 1 minute. Then came Courtney, and her piece was called "Pagoda"...and again, lasted about 1 minute. It was so cute to watch. Connor's "friend" Madi came with us. (We took her out to dinner with us afterwards, and Connor says it was his "first date". ) Grandma Pam & Grandpa Bob came to watch, and Grandma Lucy, and Uncle Kort & Aunt Amy were there to cheer them on as well.

Back in the Day

My 20 year reunion is coming up in a few weeks and I'm putting together a DVD slideshow of pictures from those days. My friend, Pia, sent me a huge stack of pictures, and this was one of them. I was cracking up!! Look at me....so excited to be that close to Hugh. HA HA HA

That's My Boy

Connor started wrestling last Monday, and here's a video of him from his practice on Saturday. He goes Monday, Wednesday & Saturday, and I have to say.....he's pretty good. I think it's in his blood.

My Maternal Courtney

Whenever we get together with our family, Courtney heads straight for her 1 year old niece, Karlie. It's so fun watching Courtney take care of her. I sometimes think Courtney has the heart & brain of a mature young woman, but I have to remind myself that she is only 10. She is DYING to be old enough to babysit, and when she does, I know she will be in high demand because she loves little kids!!

Arrow of Light

Last Thursday, Connor was awarded the Arrow of Light award for Cub Scouts. This is the highest award a Cub Scout can earn and it is the only badge that can be transferred over to his Boy Scout uniform. He worked very hard to achieve this, and we are so proud of him. What was so cool about this is that Hugh is the Scoutmaster for our ward, so Hugh got to present the Arrow of Light to Connor. It was awesome! He starts 11 year old scouts in August, and will then start the long road to earning his Eagle Scout. Yeah Connor!!

Sisters...

I looked outside yesterday, and saw Courtney & Caitlin sitting with their feet dangling in the pool, just chatting. It was so cute. They are so lucky to have each other, and to be so close in age. It's like having a built-in Best Friend. I hope they stay close and always realize that they have each other. I wonder what they were talking about???
