Happy Birthday Kort!!!

Hugh's BABY brother is turning the big 2-6 tomorrow! Can you believe that? And do you know what I LOVE??? I love it that Kort & Hugh are such good friends! They talk all the time, work out together every chance they get, and just totally enjoy each other's company. I'm so glad that Kort & Amy live so close, because we get to see them all of the time! And WHEN they have babies, they'll be close so Hugh and I can have baby love whenever we want it!! So, Kort, in honor of your birthday day, this poem is for you!!!

Lit a fart
and blew it apart!!!!

Ha! That's a song Kolby & Hugh used to sing to Kort when he was little, and he hated it! He was always teased....and guess what....things never change! We love you Kort!

Happy Halloween!!

I love Halloween. Actually, I love the fall holidays. Last night, we had Ed & Heidi over for dinner (lasagna!! yum!) and then we carved pumpkins! Well, I watched while the kids (Ed & Heidi also) carved their pumpkins. They turned out so cute!!! Now, they are out front, guarding our house.

We have a busy week this week. Courtney, Connor & Hugh leave for Outdoor Ed in Prescott on Wednesday. They'll be gone until 1pm on Friday. Which means, they will all miss the Trunk or Treat party at church! Total bummer! This will be the first time my kids have missed that party! So, Caitlin & I are going it alone. And guess what we are dressing up as???? Freaky Friday! Caitlin is going as "me" and I'm going as "Caitlin". My outfit is so unflattering, and uncomfortable, but oh well. I guess that's what you get for dressing up in a costume. I'll be sure to post pics afterwards.

The Nielsons

A beautiful article about Stephanie & Christain (I can call them by their first names, because I feel like I know them!!) was in the Republic today. Completely remarkable. Such a beautiful story about family and hope. Their recovery is truly a miracle. They both have such a long way to go, but they are going to get there. What's also amazing about this story is that the blogging community and the community in general has rallied together to raise a quarter of a million dollars for the Nielsons to help with their medical bills, which will reach in the millions. It is so lovely to hear that in this world full of negativity and despair, there are still people out there willing to help a couple they don't even know. It gives you hope.

Nieces & Nephews!!

Kailey & I
Sweet Little Charlie
Karlie the Princess
Batman 1 & Batman 2 aka: Cooper & Demetrius

I love my nieces and nephews. And I have a lot of them: Rocko, Robby, Malachi, Demetrius, Charlie, Karlie, Cooper, Chase, Taylor, Jordan, Kacey, Kailey, Elby, and Ashley. And more on the way, I'm sure. When we ALL get togther, it's total craziness. Cooper yells at people until he loses his voice. If you ask Karlie if she's a princess...she says "Yes" and she's allowed to say that because she's not even 2 years old yet. Rocko has the cutest long hair, Robby & Malachi just hang with their big bro Demetrius - who is hilarious to talk to. Charlie makes the cutest squished up face. Chase always hugs me when he sees me, and he's 13! Taylor chats with me on Facebook. Kacey & Kailey just rock and they love to watch me dance. Elby is a man now, and like his younger brother, hugs me. Jordan is a stud football player. And Ashley, the oldest, is turning into a beautiful woman. I love them all!!

So You Think You Can Dance!!

The Door Dance!!!
The Samba - my Favorite with Joshua & Katee

Last week, I went to the So You Think You Can Dance show at Jobing.Com arena. I went with Tracy & her daughter Taylor and Taylor's best friend Elizabeth. Sidenote: Taylor and Elizabeth are 14 - exactly how old Tracy & I were when we met!! It's so fun to be around them. Anyway, the show was amazing and I had such a sore throat the next day from SCREAMING. They did all of my favorite dances from the show, and let me tell you, watching them dance in person gives you a whole new appreciation for them. These are some talented people. I swear, Joshua jumps SO HIGH that I think he could leap a tall building in a single bound!! We had a great time and I can't wait until next summer for the show to be on again. It's my favorite show!!

He's Back!!

Hugh just got home from his 10 day trip to Lake Baccarac in Sinaloa, Mexico. Where is this, you ask? Well, do you know where Mazatlan is? You know, that beautiful Mexican paradise that most normal people would FLY to? Well, Hugh & his fishing buddy, Greg, DRIVE 17 HOURS to Sinaloa, which is just one hour north of Mazatlan. (Maybe one of these years I'll fly to Mazatlan for a romantic rendevous with my hot hubby). He had a great time, catching about 30-40 fish a day. He caught his largest bass ever - 12 pounds!!! In the bass fishing world, that's the catch of a lifetime. He's been going down there since 2001, and on his last trip there, he finally caught an 11 pounder. Now, this trip he caught his monster 12 pounder. Do you think he'll go back or will he give up the quest??? I bet he goes back. That's ok....for every trip he takes I get a girls' trip in return. Where should I go.....suggestions???

Hair Do's!!!!

Ok, one of my many downfalls as a mommy to girls is that I am terrible at doing cute little hairstyles. My poor girls are always finding these cutsey little updo's and are begging me to do them. I try, I really do, but they just don't turn out that well. Hopefully, that is about to change. I just came across this blog, that led me to another blog, that led me to Blog Heaven for little Girl's Hairdos! Here is the first blog I came across, and then to here for the second blog I found. The both have tons of links to click on for other hair blogs! Who knew!!! My girls are going to be so happy!!! We'll just have to start waking up at 5:30 am to get ready for school. They won't mind that, will they???
These are not my girls. They are the
cute little girls from the websites
I found. But soon, my girls' hair
will look just as adorable!!

Cupcakes

In an effort to keep me sane while Hugh is out of town, my friend Bonnie picked up my girls last week and took them to her house to make cupcakes. Bonnie is like the cool "big sister" to my girls, and the girls had a blast. Bonnie actually posted about this on her blog, which is where I stole the pictures from. :) Thanks Bonnie!

Courtney and her camera

Ok, the pictures that I find on Courtney's camera are hilarious. They spent the night at my parents' house a few weeks ago, and were playing "Superman" on their bed. I wonder if my parents know about this??? Hmmmm... Anyway, here are some of the action shots. They're pretty funny.
